Developing Digital Skills

Development of Elderly's Digital Skills Through Family Learning In today's world, where there is no age limit for learning, it has become an extremely fast-paced process to provide appropriate education, training conditions, and opportunities for the purposes and target audiences. Undoubtedly, the expectations of the ever-changing adult segments cannot be compared with the requirements of 20-30 years ago. Just as education is a living, developing, and changing phenomenon, the education process, methods, practices, and objectives also have to be developed, changed, and be updated. In our age of technology, in a period when distances begin to shorten and communication and access to news become very easy, unfortunately, we cannot see the same simple and positive developments in family relationships. It is quite obvious that they cannot benefit enough from rapidly advancing technological communication era, and this process has a negative impact on the social development of individuals. The deficiencies of our individuals in this area prevent them from communicating with a lower generation and seeing themselves as a part of society. Our individuals in this age group should be kept active in social life. And for this purpose, educational practices for these individuals must also be updated. Experience is the behavior that the individual acquires as a result of interaction with his environment. Education is the expected behavioral changes in the individual. We cannot ignore the past lives of adults. In this process, we can obtain more positive and social individuals by supporting their knowledge and skills with new data. However, this educational process should cover an educational process that is not only in theory but also in the center of social life. There are many positive values that adults can add to the learning process of younger generations. From this perspective, every adult individual is a source of experience. They can generally transition between different types of life more easily. But they also have many disadvantages. They cannot easily accept ideas that contradict their past experiences and that they cannot adopt if they do not approve. And this keeps them away from the educational process that they need to be subjected to. The opportunities and educational process to be offered to them should not directly reject their knowledge and experience but should be inclusive. Misinformation, on the other hand, should be regarded as an exemplary opportunity. In adult education, generational education and good practices have a serious role in the transition of individuals from traditional practices to technological practices and in accelerating social cohesion. The inclusion of family members in the lower generations in the practices and planning that will be presented to them will yield highly effective results. The learning process will make them feel different while teaching to the individuals they are eager to work with. In order to achieve a healthy social structure, it is necessary to include practices that narrow the difference between generations and lead to the transfer and reinforcement of correct behaviors. Learning stages in adults AWARENESS—INTEREST—EVALUATION—EVALUATION—IMPLEMENTATION Pedagogical and Andragogic theories must be taken into consideration in an educational process to be conducted with different generations. Especially in the Andragogic model; the teacher/trainer; In the role of "facilitator", should be able to involve learners/adults in a process close to the following order. -Preparing a suitable environment for the participants -Joint planning process -Doing needs analysis -To identify programs and applications that will meet these requirements - Evaluate the process together In line with the EU Erasmus + project activities, the partnership group formed by 6 countries working together continues an education process implemented between different generations, including family members. In order to eliminate digital weaknesses for adults, complete social integration, and transfer experiences and experiences to younger generations, associate members develop examples of good practices and apply them to different individuals in different countries. After the education process, in which not only theoretical but also practical applications are kept at the forefront, it is aimed to create a mentally and physically healthy and harmonious society and unity.
